Involvement in the Wall

Through subsidiary TAMAM, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) provides surveillance technology for the Wall, in particular a variant of the Plug-in Optronic Payload (POP), originally designed for helicopters. The POP includes a focal plane array thermal imager, colour camera and laser pointer which functions at ranges of ‘a few miles’.

Military involvement

IAI, unlike Elbit and Magal, does not seem to have extensively exported Wall technology. Instead, the government-owned company is better known for its production of fighter jets, UAVs, missiles of all stripes, naval craft, and armour for the Caterpillar D9 bulldozer.
